"Before I Formed You In The Womb, I Knew You!"
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations. Then said I: Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth. But the Lord said to me: Do not say, I am a youth, for you shall go to all to whom I send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord. Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant." (Jeremiah 1:5-10)
I recently spoke with my dear friend, Steven, who has been associated with our ministry for many years. He is a wonderful brother in the Lord, like Joshua, Aaron and Hur who stood by my side and held up my arms when we produced "Rabboni" in Los Angeles in 1981 and off-Broadway in New York City in 1985 and "Mendel & Moses" in Los Angeles in 1997.
As we prayed, Steve said, and I paraphrase to the best of my recollection, "Lord, help Jeremiah to bring his three powerful musicals around the world for Your glory. Jeremiah is a great man of God who did what no one else could have done in New York City. He is a hero. He is like an Old Testament prophet who was sent to raise up the extraordinary musical, "The Time Of Mendel's Trouble," about the end-times in the midst of the money-worshiping capital of Mammon. He did not flinch when the devil's wicked hordes tried to stop him. He was not intimidated, but he fought to victory in a raging war that Satan waged against Your servant who dared to invade this nation's perverse theatre capital, a modern day Nineveh."
"Do not be afraid of their faces!"
I took this step of faith as I did in the past with our two other award-winning musicals and for all of the works that we in our ministry have done for our 25 years of existence because, "For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns." (Isaiah 62:1) Like Jeremiah, the ancient prophet of Israel, I was sent by God and could not find it in my heart to say no to Him, and when I said "I am afraid," He replied, "I am with you to deliver you." The message in the musical had a twofold purpose for America, "To root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant."
You see, I am a Jewish believer in Yeshua and I care about the condition of America that has been such a good home to the Jewish people. And even though the message was a hard one (leavened with comedy), I knew that I had no choice but to deliver it. He made it clear that I was not to be afraid of their faces. So I started with the premise I have taught for years, that the Book of Revelation describes New York City when it says:
"Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!" (Rev. 18:2)
And, that America is the seventh king (more correctly, "kingdom") which Scripture says would continue only for a short time.
"There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time." (Rev. 17:10)
When exactly it would fall, I don't know. Thank God, the government is in on His shoulder (Isa. 9:6) and not mine. But my job was to bring the light to Jewish and Gentile souls while there was still time and to warn about coming events. So, for that purpose we were sent to that largely unsaved City that calls itself "the capital of the world" to produce our new audacious musical, the third in our trilogy. We presented "The Time of Mendel's Trouble" at the famous off-Broadway Beckett Theatre in the Broadway theatre district on 42nd Street in an Actors' Equity Showcase Production for 16 performances starting July 18th. Our last performance for this tryout run was on Saturday, August 2, 2008. Many loved it. But we caught the eye of many liberal critics from the radical media who railed at it and at us for writing it. I remembered God's words, "Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you." We sure got their attention!
Prophecies Fulfilled after a Mere Few Days
"Who confirms the word of His servant, and performs the counsel of His messengers." (Isaiah 44:26 )
In our musical, one of the characters, "Vladimir Bullshatowsky," the Leader of the Emerging Russian Socialist Empire, is comedically portrayed as the Antichrist. In the Third Act, he betrays President Scarlett O'Harlett by unleashing a firestorm of missiles from L.A. all the way to New York City. When asked why, he laughs and says, "The devil made me do it!" To expose what Scripture describes as his true identity, we had him double in the role of Beelzebub, who many do not even believe actually exists.
Our last performance was on August 2nd and amazingly, the prophecies which we wrote about began to be fulfilled four days later when Russia invaded Georgia at the directive of "Czar" Vladimir Putin. We are not suggesting that he is the Antichrist, but we should be wary of a mighty ruler from Russia - "Who is able to make war with him?" (Rev. 13:4)
It seemed that every demon in New York City went stark-raving mad and our show was tarred and feathered by the God-haters among the sleaze-loving apologists who trashed our hard efforts and all of you who cared enough to help us.
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Proverbs 1:7)
What else did we do to incur their wrath? We parodied Muslim terrorists showing them to be laughable idiots at whom mostly everyone in the audience laughed. For this we were called "insensitive" because we made fun of those hate-mongers who are delighted to kill Israelis daily and thousands of Americans on 9/11/01.
Let me cite the latest example of their bloody handiwork. An article in the 9/21/08 New York Times says it all.
"ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Rescuers pulled more bodies from the shell of the truck-bombed Marriott Hotel in Pakistan's capital Sunday, pushing the death toll from one of the country's worst terrorist strikes to 53, including the Czech ambassador and two Americans."
The facts, when not examined through politically correct tinted glasses, tend to support our conclusions. And these same terrorist monsters are presently conniving to divide the Land of Israel to establish the devil's evil reign on the Temple Mount (see Isaiah 14:12-13).
Our show, using satire, revealed that the Middle East Roadmap to Peace between Israel and the Palestinians is demonically inspired. The Bible and our musical, outcasts though we may be in NYC, describe the fact that the Temple Mount is the exact place where the Jewish Messiah will reign upon His return. But thankfully, to reiterate, the government is in God's hands in spite of some misinformed and argumentative detractors.
The big opening number of the evening, with the lyrics, "NEW YORK CITY, WHO REIGNS OVER ALL THE KINGS OF THE EARTH, AT THE U.N.; ONE DAY YOUR SONG SHALL NOT BE HEARD IN YOU ANYMORE. NEW YORK CITY, THE CAPITAL, NEW YORK CITY, BIG APP-IT'LE, NEW YORK CITY, THE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD," (see Rev. 18:22) was sung by the whole 15-member cast as a monocled man in top hat and tails costumed to look like the man from the Monopoly game stood atop the set's Williamsburg Bridge and took a big bite out of a juicy red apple.
Less than two months after we closed, the prophecy about New York City began to come to pass when the bubble burst and financial disaster began nipping at the heels of "the Capital of the World." Were we happy about it? No, not at all, but our musical did dramatize a warning for which we were soundly condemned by the shrill anti-God crowds who despise His commandments, which thrills Satan and helps to push his evil work to conclusion.
One after another, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns, Lehman Bros, Washington Mutual, AIG and now a $700 billion dollar buyout is being proposed by the federal government at the time of this writing; not to forget the skyrocketing cost of oil and the price of gas at the pumps and in the supermarkets and the whole world trembles... perhaps, except the drama critics who condemned us to failure. I wonder if even one of them sees the connection with what we were talking about or are they so Biblically illiterate as to fail to see the light in the midst of darkness? We say the show must go on, and it will! Or we should say shows because we are a triple threat.
In one of our hysterically funny scenes, Mrs. Scarlett O'Harlett is chosen as the Democratic Party candidate for President. Her husband, Don Juan O'Harlett, becomes the Secretary General of the United Nations. When Barack Obama became the candidate, I felt like I needed to leave the song and scene in the musical. The audience roared at the comedic take-off of Hillary.
Ahmadinejad, the modern-day Haman nut-job from Iran, daily threatens genocide against Israel and the Jews. Now he's welcomed as a guest of the United Nations. We parodied this gangster with one of our characters, "Akbar Duhnutjob," who plays one of the blundering leaders of the UN who together sing their comedy song, "In Us We Trust" (instead of trusting in God). So many other people spoke of being enthralled at the freshness, the unusualness and the exciting comedy, drama and gorgeous music.
How Can We Stop Our Work When...
President Bush and Condaleeza Rice are racing to conclude the dangerous, misbegotten, anti-God "peace" plan called "the Road Map," to divide Israel and Jerusalem, its capital, to create a State of Palestine, before the President leaves office in January 2009. Consequently, God is bringing all of these financial woes which are like the plagues visited on ancient Egypt when "Moses and Aaron went in and said to Pharaoh, Let my people go." (Exodus 5:1)
So, on September 1, 2008, God sent a strong category 2 (1 mph below Category 3) Hurricane Gustav ripping into the Louisiana Coast at virtually the same spot where the devastating Hurricane Katrina had made landfall on 8/29/05 three years earlier, almost to the day. The earlier storm pulverized New Orleans and forced a massive emergency evacuation exactly seven days after the similar evacuation of Israeli settlers from Gaza engineered by the Bush Administration who instigated to establish a Palestinian State on Biblical Jewish lands.
President Bush and his administration apparently didn't get the fierce Katrina warning but continued to march onward with his "divide the Land of Israel policy" for his own personal legacy in stark disobedience to God's word, and God was angry. As a professed Christian, he ignored the words (does he really understand the Bible?) which Moses spoke to Pharaoh thousands of years earlier, "Let my people go." So God followed up with a second hammer blow. But Moses also says, "You turn man to destruction, and say, Return, O, children of men." (Psalm 90:3)
Eventually even the financial bubble would burst as Bush persisted, always examining the effect but never the cause; never considering the fact that these latest disasters are God's judgments. He and Rice were not fazed by Hurricane Gustav but marched onward with the ungodly plan to build a Palestinian state on Israel's Land and even insisted on the dividing of Jerusalem; and America continued to toboggan down the slick, greed-slope toward a costly, historic destruction. Similarly, the critics in New York City refused to listen to us in like manner as President Bush did not listen to all of God's warnings.
Judgment Upon Judgment
Because No One Was Listening To God
The next judgment was the 4th most major natural disaster to ever hit America, Hurricane Ike! The devastation in Galveston, Houston, and the nearby oil rigs was the result of an angry God's wrath. The same God that would tear down His own Temple in Israel twice because of the sins of His chosen people would do the same in America. Unfortunately, the innocent citizens were punished because their stubborn leader would not relent in his unprincipled march to divide the Land of Israel.
Thus, the eye of the hurricane, after smashing Galveston, continued on its way in a weakened condition to pass directly over Palestine, Texas, northeast of Galveston. Does not God always leave His footprint behind as a warning with the hope that it will bring about repentance... if the people will listen... the critics certainly didn't listen to the prophecies in our show.
These judgments were all for the same reason: Katrina for the forced evacuation of Gaza by President Bush, and, Gustav and Ike for his ongoing attempt to force the misbegotten divisive "peace" deal down Israel's throat just as Hurricane Andrew had done for the exact same reason under the senior President Bush's earlier administration. One wonders if the Bushes and Ms. Rice have forgotten so soon the 6,000,000 dead bodies upon which little Israel lay down her foundation stone?
God warned. He gave the President a chance to repent of his errant ways, but to no avail.
America must repent of its immoral 'Judas-like policy' toward Israel and stop turning its face against God by spurning His righteous ways. Thus, I would say the following:
"Better is a little with righteousness, than vast revenues without justice." (Proverbs 16:8)
President Bush sent a request to Congress for $700 billion to allow the federal government to buy up bad mortgages in a move to stem a widespread economic meltdown. The legislation is part of the largest financial bailout since the Great Depression. I have a better plan. Let this government reverse its stand for the creation of a state of Palestine and do justice for Israel.
To stem the hemorrhaging, America must reverse its policy of forcing Israel to give up portions of the precious Land which God has given to her, including Jerusalem, to the Palestinians, to whom it does not now and never belonged, to establish a dangerous terrorist state at her door. God has made His warning clear in His grant of that Land (the boundaries are identified in Numbers 34: 1-12) to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
"I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." (Genesis 12:3; 26:3-4; and, 27:29)
Gov. Palin's Speech
Before she was dis-invited by politically correct Jewish leaders, Sarah Palin had planned to give a magnificent speech in support of Israel at the rally against Iran's Ahmadinejad. I quote portions of it here:
"We gather here today to highlight the Iranian dictator's intentions and to call for action to thwart him. He must be stopped.
"The world must awake to the threat this man poses to all of us. Ahmadinejad denies that the Holocaust ever took place. He dreams of being an agent in a "Final Solution" — the elimination of the Jewish people. He has called Israel a "stinking corpse" that is "on its way to annihilation." Such talk cannot be dismissed as the ravings of a madman — not when Iran just this summer tested long-range Shahab-3 missiles capable of striking Tel Aviv, not when the Iranian nuclear program is nearing completion, and not when Iran sponsors terrorists that threaten and kill innocent people around the world.
"Iran is responsible for attacks not only on Israelis, but on Jews living as far away as Argentina. Anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial are part of Iran's official ideology and murder is part of its official policy. President Ahmadinejad should be held accountable for inciting genocide, a crime under international law.
"Senator McCain has made a solemn commitment that I strongly endorse: Never again will we risk another Holocaust. And this is not a wish, a request, or a plea to Israel's enemies. This is a promise that the United States and Israel will honor against any enemy who cares to test us. It is John McCain's promise and it is my promise."
On September 25, upon meeting Shimon Peres at the Clinton Global Initiative, Gov. Palin told him, "The only flag at my office is an Israeli flag, and I want you to know and I want Israelis to know that I am a friend."
Dear Lord, bless Sarah Palin for she is a blessing to your Chosen People!
It boggles the mind that liberal Jewish Democrats would reject and scorn such a beautiful soul who openly desires to bless and support Israel just because she is a conservative.
They did the same to us when we presented our beautiful musical in support of Zion because their minds are caught in the vise of an anti-Christ darkness. However, many of the more than 600 Jewish people who received free tickets and saw the show, loved it! May the good seed planted in their hearts bring forth fruit unto salvation!
"The Time of Mendel's Trouble"
It took a lot of courage to do what we did in New York City, to not only present the Gospel, but to stand up to the intense hatred of the liberal new age critics and the anti-God politically correct hordes who tried to blacken God's eyes by humiliating His servants.

"The Sword of the Lord Unsheathed"
On Monday, October 8, 2007, four days after the conclusion of the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles), as I was laying down to sleep, I asked the Lord to show me His face; instead I saw Him taking His sword from its sheath. The last time I saw His glittering sword in vision was seven years ago, seven days prior to the presidential election in the year 2000 in which George W. Bush was elected president for a first term. That time it was a warning for America to beware of its immoral "Judas policy" toward Israel. And so it is this time again! The following Scripture perfectly explains how the Lord uses His sword to deliver Israel, the "apple of His eye."
My earlier "sword vision prophecy" was fulfilled during the first term of George Bush's presidency when on 9/11/2001 the World Trade Center was demolished. It is not general knowledge that this tragedy happened "just at the break of dawn" (Psalm 43:5) on the eve of Secretary of State Colin Powell's pending announcement in the General Assembly of the United Nations stating for the first time that the national agenda of America was in support of the division of the Land of Israel to enable the creation of a State of "Palestine." And, in addition, this was the first time an American president had ever used the name "Palestine" in such a manner. President Bush had the chutzpah to spit in God's eye and in the next breath to say, "God bless America." But God wouldn't; He had promised to deliver Israel to whom He had given that Land as an eternal everlasting possession and He would do so just at the break of dawn as it were!
During President Bush's second term in office, the second fulfillment of that prophecy sprang forth. God warned and gave the president a chance to repent, but to no avail. No fair-minded God would send judgment against a country without first giving ample warnings as he did to President Bush by way of four well-placed and well-timed hurricanes in 2004 - they occurred on Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and on God's Saturday-Sabbaths. (See "A Quartet for a Quartet!" dated September 28, 2004, on our website, www.jerusalemgates.org/hear.htm) And they were all ignored. We will be happy to send this prophecy to those of you who write in and request it.
Following these warnings came the second "sword judgment" on 8/29/2005 when Hurricane Katrina forced the emergency evacuation of New Orleans, tit for tat, exactly seven days after the forced evacuation of Israeli settlers from Gaza which had been instigated by the Bush Administration's demonic appetite to establish a Palestinian State on Biblical Jewish lands.
And now God is preparing to unleash another lollapalooza against America pursuant to His 2007 renewed "sword prophecy." Apparently, President Bush has not yet learned his lesson and is rambling on with this same old "false peace" agenda. And he and his Secretary of State, who I have tongue-in-cheek renamed "Kindasleezy" Rice because of her disingenuousness toward God and His word and His people Israel, are once again toying with a "peace conference" in Annapolis, MD which they are scheduling for November or December.
But now, the stakes are even higher with the Palestinians demanding among other things Israel's Temple Mount, the site of Solomon's, Herod's and the Millennial Temples... as the capital of Satan's State of Palestine.
"During their conversation, Abbas also asked Rice to act against the expropriation of Palestinian lands by Israel in East Jerusalem (where the Temple Mount is located), against the archeological dig at the *Mugrabi Gate." [Article in Ynet News.com, 10/14/2007 entitled, "Rice: It's Time for a Palestinian State."]
* "The walkway up the hill leads to the Mughrabim Gate, which is currently the only entrance for Jews to the Temple Mount. The city plans to replace the hill with a bridge that will lead into the Mughrabim Gate. The plans are a bonanza for students of Jerusalem history, as the removal of the hill will uncover an eight-meter high gate leading into the Temple Mount. The gate, dating from the period of the Second Temple, is known as Barclay's Gate, after the 19th-century American consul who first identified it."
God is angry and rightly so since the Temple Mount is the site of Messiah's Throne upon His return to earth, and He is loosing pandemonium upon America with the force and speed of a Hialeah horse race in payment! Could the stock market crash of 1929 happen again?
It was also reported that the Secretary of State "on Wednesday lit a candle and paused for prayer at the grotto where Christians believe Jesus was born, urging the people of the Holy Land to make religion a power of healing... Rice, a devout Christian, began her day in this biblical West Bank town with a tour of the Church of Nativity, built over Jesus' traditional birth grotto. 'Being here at the birthplace of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has been a very special and moving experience,' said Rice, the daughter and granddaughter of Presbyterian Ministers, after the tour. (He said, If you love me, keep My commandments!) 'It is also, I think, a personal reminder that the prince of peace is with us.' She said the three monotheistic religions of the Holy Land- Judaism, (True) Christianity (True) .... and Islam (Satan's bold-faced lie right out of the pit of Hell!) have an opportunity to overcome differences." (This is her New Age "enlightened" contradiction of the Bible; she rather needs the new birth.) (AP Article of 10/16/07, "Rice Prays in Bethlehem for Peace.")
By implication, what she is saying is: Believe in Jesus but disregard His Word and His love for His own Jews of Israel, of which He is the most prominent, and disregard their Land legacy from the Father in favor of the Palestinian heathen.
This stupidity is the product of the Church's replacement theology - that the Church has replaced Israel as God's chosen people. It is downright dangerous, foolish, ill-informed, and will cost many their eternal salvation; as will it cause Israel much pain and suffering in the few years that are left before His return.
The article continued, "She told an interfaith group of religious leaders (a New Age demonic concept contrary to God's word which says have no fellowship with unbelievers) earlier this week that she believes people are more likely drawn to violence if they don't have hope..."
What about the poor immigrant Jews, Irish, Italians and black people who came into America at the turn of the century and during the Great depression? Were they violent and did they kill or maim because they were poor and hungry? No!
Both of the disasters during this Bush's Administration were two of the most immense black clouds ever to darken the threshold of America. But by analogy, they both mirrored an earlier judgment upon a sinful America: The catastrophic Hurricane Andrew, which on 8/24/1992 blew away much of South Florida and transformed the rest of the area into a rubble heap.
The culprit was also the peace talks. Hurricane Andrew slammed into Florida on the very day of the reconvened Israel-Palestinian "peace talks" in Washington, DC under the newly elected liberal Yitzhak Rabin government after George H.W. Bush had succeeded in driving out Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir who refused to stop building the Jewish settlements on the Land that God had given to them. Elder Bush resultantly denied Israel $10 Billion in loan guarantees which were desperately needed to clothe, provide homes and jobs for the Russian immigrant Jews fleeing Russia after 70 years of captivity when the iron curtain finally fell in 1989.
Like father, like son: Katrina was the son's doing and Andrew, the father's. George H. W. had forced peace talks down the throat of Israel just like George W. is doing now. George H. W. was never reelected to a second term. And what will George W.'s punishment be since he is almost finished with his second term? All of these disasters were judgments loosed on America as a result of its endorsement of a Palestinian "land grab!"
This American-spearheaded, anti-Jewish "peace agenda," yearning to give the Temple Mount as part of a capitol for the Bush/Blair/Kindasleezy Rice/Vatican-engineered, parasitic, Palestinian State on Jewish Land tacitly reveals the same kind of mentality seen in G.H.W.'s Secretary of State James Baker's historic statement made not many years ago, "F... the Jews. They didn't vote for us."
"A Rosh Hashanah Warning-2007!"
In February 2006, the Lord said to me, "The Writing on the Wall," and I wrote and posted a Word of the Lord on our website dated February 25, 2006 entitled, "The Writing on The Wall in Iraq- Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin!" Immediately thereafter, a Muslim civil war broke out.
An article in The Washington Post on February 23, 2006 entitled, "Bombing Shatters Mosque in Iraq" reported, "Bombers blasted the gilded dome of one of Shiite Islam's holiest shrines into naked steel and gaping blue sky Wednesday in a provocative assault that roused tens of thousands of Iraqi Shiites into angry protests and deadly clashes... the bombing was the most destructive attack on a major shrine since the U.S. invasion."
Violence unleashed by the destruction of the golden dome of the Shiite Askariya shrine in Samarra, a predominantly Sunni city, was God's punishment. Those who had proclaimed Allah (the name of a demon) to be god were divided by His hand and a resultant near civil war exploded in Iraq (ancient Babylon) between the Shiite (fundamentally an Iranian-based sect) and the Sunnis and "divided" their Islamic kingdom creating killing fields of thousands upon thousands which has extended throughout other Middle Eastern nations, including Gaza and the West Bank (more correctly called Judea and Samaria) to this very day.
The reason I bring this up is because on 9/12/07, I again heard this word repeated as a warning to America, not to Iraq this time, but to America. It happened a few short hours before the beginning of the Biblical Feast of Trumpets, a/k/a Rosh Hashanah, which is commonly treated as the Jewish New Year (Passover is the actual Biblical Jewish New Year). "The Writing on The Wall," was the word; just like the first time, it augured badly for America. "Let My People Go!"
To see the first evidence of the prophesied events which are soon to begin, let us turn now to several Associated Press news articles to show forth some of the God-breathed events which are a type and shadow of the judgments soon to come. These events occurred on 9/13/07, Rosh Hashanah, one of the highest and most sacred of the Biblical Jewish holidays. This was another evidence of His anger at those nations and people who would not "Let His Jewish people go!" (Exod. 5:1)
1) An article dated 9/13/07 (Rosh Hashanah) entitled, "Humberto sneaks up on U.S. Gulf Coast," reported, "Call it the instant hurricane. Humberto, which grew faster than any storm on record from tropical depression to full-scale hurricane, surprised the Texas-Louisiana coast early Thursday with 85-mph winds and heavy rain that knocked out power to more than 100,000 and left at least one person dead. Meteorologists were at a loss to explain the rapid, 16-hour genesis of the first hurricane to hit the U.S. since 2005. 'Before Humberto developed, you looked at the satellite imagery the day before, and there was virtually nothing there. This really spun up out of thin air, very, very quickly,' said National Hurricane Center specialist James Franklin in Miami. 'We've never had any tropical cyclone go from where Humberto was to where Humberto got.'"
2) The next article also dated 9/13/07 entitled, "Bomb Kills Iraqi Sheik Who Met With Bush," reported, "The most prominent figure in a U.S.-backed revolt of Sunni sheiks against al-Qaida in Iraq was killed Thursday by a bomb planted near his home in Anbar province, 10 days after he met with President Bush... Abdul-Sattar Abu Risha was leader of the Anbar Salvation Council, also known as the Anbar Awakening -- an alliance of clans backing the Iraqi government and U.S. forces. The death of the charismatic young sheik dealt a blow to American efforts to recruit tribal leaders to fight the terror network. The White House... called his death an 'unfortunate and outrageous act,' but said it was not a setback because other sheiks have said the killing would not deter them from working with the United States against al-Qaida. It also said it believed al-Qaida in Iraq was responsible." (Al-Qaida has at the time of this writing accepted full responsibility for the killing.)
3) An article of the same date (Rosh Hashanah) entitled, "Indonesian quakes trigger tsunami alerts," reported, "Indonesia (a Muslim stronghold) was shaken Thursday by four powerful earthquakes in less than 24 hours, and survivors described watching in horror as the ocean retreated and raced back to shore as a 10-foot-high tsunami. Hundreds of houses were destroyed in Wednesday's quake that sent panicked residents fleeing to the hills. At least 10 people were killed. The most powerful quake Thursday was one registering a magnitude of 7.8, the U.S. Geological Survey said... At least five large buildings including mosques, houses and a school collapsed..."
Where will the God of Jacob visit next with His wrath? Visit He will, and divide asunder He will, because He has said it and He always keeps His word! And there will be terrifying financial and sundry other implications in many places in the world.
God has issued a warning to President Bush and the others with their anti-Israeli mind set: "Let My people go!" (Exodus 5:1) says the Lord. His Handwriting on the Wall has made that clear! How? Simple. Hurricane Humberto rose up suddenly and struck Texas and Louisiana on Rosh Hashanah. Texas is President Bush's home state and Louisiana was the recipient of Hurricane Katrina. The President needs to know that the Jewish people, not the Muslims, are the "apple of His eye." (Zech. 2:8) He could not have been clearer about it when He said in His Word,
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert needs to stop with his dancing on the graves of dead Prime Ministers Ben Gurion and Golda Meir and other heros of Israel's epic past. He is obviously snookered by the cunningly melodious but yet odious promises of President Bush and his treacherous administration, endangering the lives and future of his own people with a fickle, nocturnal, dark peace process, an ignoble marriage to the sons of Esau, murderers at heart.
When the covenant of Middle East Peace is confirmed by the Pope, to internationalize and gain control over Jerusalem, then seven more years remain until the end of the World Age and the return of the Lord Yeshua to Jerusalem.
If Olmert does make a gift to the Muslims of the site of the first and second ancient Temples, it will be a historic betrayal of Israel and of the soon-to-return Messiah of unparalleled proportions. There will be a tragic price to pay as there was with Prime Minister Sharon who still lies in a coma because of his actions in Gaza in cahoots with the United States. (Isaiah 28:18) This horrendous boondoggle would be a death trap to Olmert and for Israel, and to the outrageous Mahmoud Abbas who just a few days ago registered a complaint with Ms. Rice that Israel is hindering the peace process by digging on the Temple Mount. Imagine the Chutzpah of all of them, of Ms. Rice for listening to it, for consulting with President Carter, a renowned anti-Semite and liar, and with President Clinton, a perjurer, and President Bush for engineering it! And because of this, pandemonium is about to break out~!
A Letter From One of Our Partners

The Associated Press reported in an article dated 10/26/07 entitled, "Wildfire Pollution Poses Health Threat... about 23,000 homes were still threatened by five major blazes in three counties. Although, more than a dozen fires raced across more than 503,000 acres- the equivalent of 786 square miles... At least three people- and possibly as many as seven - have been killed by flames. About 1,700 homes have been destroyed and damage estimates have surpassed $1 billion... tens of thousands of displaced families began returning to their fire-ravaged communities, but it will likely be months or even years before they recover what they left behind when they fled giant walls of flames."

Occupy Till He Comes!
A wonderful door has opened for us to minister to a community with a large Jewish population, which we cannot discuss lest the enemy sneak in and shut it down.
But a gate must be oiled so that it can keep swinging. A car must have gas so that it can run. A bicycle chain must be greased so that it doesn't rust. A marathon runner must have water so that he can finish the race. Well, so must a ministry receive fresh drink so that it can press on to the mark of its high calling.
We are squeaking loudly because over the last month the offerings to our ministry have dried up, but the expenses continue. There are so many projects that depend upon your oil, like our three musical outreaches, the third of which must be produced before the Democratic National Convention next August 2008, the Schools of Prophecy in N. Ireland and Nigeria, my second book on end-time prophecy, and my third one that is not yet finished.
We have touched the Jewish community like never before and a whole new day of exposure of the Gospel has begun. Will you therefore ensure that it continues by your continued offerings? A Well-Orchestrated Conspiracy!
A magnitude 6.8 earthquake rocked Japan Monday morning (7/16/07), killing at least seven people, injuring hundreds and causing emergency shutdowns of nuclear reactors. A long list of problems — including radiation leaks, burst pipes and fires — came to light at the world's largest nuclear power plant, a day after it was hit by this powerful earthquake. This one nuclear accident could potentially create a toxic cloud that could poison the earth's atmosphere.
"They raised the alert too late. I have sent stern instructions that such alerts must be raised seriously and swiftly," Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told reporters in Tokyo. "Those involved should repent of their actions."
Likewise, I intend to "raise the alert" in this Gazette. Behold, the prince of the power of the air preens himself like a peacock, a foolish fox fawning over the earth, preparing to stage his most boldfaced attempt ever to destroy the "apple of God's eye" (Israel) and to take over God's kingdom. Ignorance is the weapon which he uses against the Jewish people, their nation, and the Christian Body-at-large!
The mortal threat floating over both Israel and the Church, a virtual flashpoint, is from a toxic cloud of spiritual misinformation. This condition is as prevalent as the cloud of unbelief hanging over the Jewish people during the early 1930's in the pre-Second World War, Nazi Germany era concerning the truth of what lay ahead. No one could convince them of impending doom until from seemingly out of nowhere came Krystal Nacht and the smashing of their homes and businesses by ordinary German citizens, but by that time it was too late! This same kind of ignorance is blinding the Church and Israel at this late hour.
Lives are in danger of being lost and salvations jettisoned by the devil's illusionist doctrines. Religious and lying spirits manifest false signs and wonders, and if God's people "just keep truckin' along," tragedy will follow. Staggering numbers of Christians are frozen somewhere between downright apathy and pure deception and will lose their lives or even their salvation if something is not done!
There is a toxic cloud of misinformation, fads, crazes and "signs and wonders" counterfeiting the move of God's Spirit. Glittering gold dust and diamonds, mindless laughter and animal sounds are the mechanics which the devil uses to replace legitimate end-time teaching. Why do Christians fall into such deception with its resultant sickness, curses and demonic infestation?
A Glossy Prophecy Magazine
Yesterday, I received in the mail a high gloss professional prophecy magazine from a well-known, well-meaning Christian ministry with a love for Israel (which is always commendable) and as usual, there was their monthly selection of teaching articles about the end-times. I thumbed through the magazine, randomly selected an article on the coming of the Antichrist and was appalled at the misinformation. Not only did it spread a cloud of confusion but was virtually delusional in its ramblings and no more than fodder for the trash basket. What a waste of donations from people who were giving so generously to those who take a stand for Israel.
Too many know-nothing dilettantes, daily "jet-setting" themselves around the prophetic conferences and TV networks, are lording it over the Church as authorities. Having forged all the right appearances and connections, they possess such a lack of prophetic knowledge as to be alarming. They are playing god with the lives of millions of Christians and unbelievers around the world and will stop at nothing to gain fancy platforms and deep-pocket bank accounts for themselves. But at what cost? It is scary that Christians have such little training and understanding of end-time revelation Scriptures as to accept these mere inventions of status-seeking men as the Gospel truth.
Their endless litany of rehashed traditional prophecy teaching is an unmitigated blare of childish banter in the ears of the Lord. It is worse than having no teaching at all! Because at least the Lord can write on a blank slate but He cannot overwrite their strident error. And He will hold those promulgators of false teaching accountable!
This condition is dangerous because if not stopped, it will cause the faith of many to crumble, curses to be inherited, and the salvation of whole congregations to simply be stripped away. That's the devil's plan and it is working!
Here are some important end-time facts and resources that will help you to not be one of those who will fly away on the winds of unbelief or silly end-time teaching.
A Recipe For Disaster!
"Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Thursday (7/26/07) he hopes to reach a peace deal with Israel within a year, after reportedly receiving a promise from President Bush to push hard to conclude a Mideast agreement before the end of his term in 2008. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert wants to start by formulating a 'declaration of principles' with Abbas on the contours of a Palestinian state in Gaza and most of the West Bank... The Hamas takeover of Gaza has spurred a flurry of diplomatic activity, with the international community lining up behind Abbas and a West Bank-based government of moderates he has installed (a stated objective of the Bush Administration). The backlash against Hamas has also given new momentum to efforts to reach a final peace deal. (And to clean out Israel!)
"Bush has said an international peace conference would be held in the fall, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is arriving next week for more talks with the Israeli and Palestinian leaders, and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is setting in as the international Mideast envoy. Abbas was quoted Thursday by the Israeli daily Maariv... that Bush and Rice told him they'd push hard for a final peace deal within a year... 'We hope to have a comprehensive peace with the Israelis within a year or even less than that.'" (AP 7/26/07 in an article entitled, "Abbas Hopes for Agreement with Israel.")
The Final Countdown Begins
This is the Scriptural foundation for what is going on in the Middle East. The keys words to note are, "Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week." The "he" mentioned in this Scripture is of the greatest relevance. As I have taught often, "he" is a direct descendant of the "prince" referred to in the previous verse: "And after the sixty-two weeks, Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary." (Daniel 9:26)
That prince was the Roman general, Titus, who came in 70 AD. His people destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple. Thus, the man who is to "confirm a covenant" comes from the same place and in fact is a modern-day Roman leader, a priori, the head of the Roman Catholic Church, the only Roman institution still in existence today.
For those of you who are not aware, highlights from an AP article dated 7/10/07 entitled, "Pope: Other Christians not true Churches," read,
"Pope Benedict XVI has reasserted the universal primacy of the Roman Catholic Church, approving a document released Tuesday that says Orthodox churches were defective and that other Christian churches were not true churches... (He) set off a firestorm of criticism among Protestant and other Christian denominations because it said they were not true churches but merely ecclesial communities and therefore did not have the 'means of salvation... Christ established here on earth only one church,' the document said. The other communities cannot be called 'churches in the proper sense' because they do not have apostolic succession - the ability to trace their bishops back to Christ's own apostles." Whatever happened to the doctrine of being saved through faith?
Remember: a Roman Catholic Pope will confirm the Dan. 9:27 covenant. This is important! Watch the bouncing ball!
"Blair Meets With Pope in Farewell Visit"
An Associated Press article by the above name dated 6/23/07 read in part, "The Vatican on Saturday (6/23/07) bid farewell to Tony Blair as British Prime Minister, wishing him well on what it said were his plans to work for Middle East peace and interreligious dialogue. Blair held long talks with Pope Benedict XVI, with the Vatican stop on his farewell tour fueling rumors that he plans to convert to Catholicism. The two men met privately for 25 minutes and then were joined for further talks by English Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor...The statement, issued after the talks with Benedict and a separate meeting with Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, said there was a 'frank' assessment of the international situation, including such delicate themes as the Middle East conflict and the future of the European Union...The statement said that best wishes were expressed for Blair's future, saying that he has expressed the desire 'to dedicate himself in a particular way for peace in the Middle East and for interreligious dialogue.' Earlier this week, it was suggested that President Bush, a close ally, wants Blair to take the job of Middle East envoy for the Quartet of peacemakers... Blair's wife Cherie is Roman Catholic, the couple's children have attended Catholic schools and Blair habitually attends Catholic rather than Anglican services."
An article in the International Herald Tribune dated 6/23/07 entitled "Blair will meet Pope to prepare for Catholic conversion, reports say," it was reported, "Speculation about Blair's religious intentions heated up last month when The Times of London reported that Father Michael Seed, who has led other prominent people into the Catholic Church, told friends at a recent memorial service that he expected Blair to formally declare his allegiance to the church after he steps down Wednesday."
"Tony Blair Accepts Appointment as Middle East Peace Envoy"
Blair resigned as Prime Minister of Britain on Wednesday, June 27th. Fox News reported in an article by the above name that on the same day, "The United Nations, United States, European Union and Russia announced" his "appointment" "as their representative to promote peace between Israel and the Palestinians. A statement from the so-called Quartet of international mediators said the former British prime minister will seek to mobilize international assistance to the Palestinians and develop plans to promote Palestinian economic development. Blair will also seek international support to address the needs of Palestinian government institutions..."
"Bush Announces Mideast Peace Conference"
In an AP article dated 7/16/07, of the above name, President Bush spearheaded and championed the cause of Daniel's seven-year covenant. The article began, "President Bush on Monday announced an international conference this fall to include Israel, the Palestinian authority and some of their Arab neighbors to help restart Mideast peace talks and review progress in building democratic institutions."
The Mideast peace conference refers to the "covenant" that Daniel was prophesying about.
Daniel's Covenant "with Many"
"He said that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice would preside over the session. Bush said the conference would include representatives from Israel, the Palestinians 'and their neighbors in the region' and said participants would include just those governments that support creation of a Palestinian State."
The devil likes big numbers. He enjoys having not just a modicum of participation in his counterfeit agendas, but loves and whips up a flood of passionate involvement in his evil activities. Thus, President Bush was pressed to include the numerous "neighbors in the region" in connection with the devil's Mideast Peace Agreement which the Quartet calls the "Roadmap."
The point is that Daniel's prophecy said that the covenant would be made "with many." God knew this thousands of years ago and included those words, "with many," in the prophecy so that when it happened, we would understand that it was happening.
Pity the poor president for his ignorance of the trigger-hammer that he had squeezed which would actually mandate, perhaps at a snail's pace, perhaps at the speed of an antelope, only moment by moment would we know, horrific repercussions against him and the country he presides over. The God of Israel in fulfillment of Genesis 12:3 to bless those that bless Israel and curse him who curses her would Himself do it. Mr. Bush is the first American president who supports the creation of a state of "Palestine" on Israel's Land, in defiance of God's word.
"(Bush) noted that the U.S. has pledged more than $190 million in direct assistance to the Palestinians, most of it already approved and that the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, a quasi-governmental unit, was making another $228 million available in loan guarantees. Administration officials said that Bush would await recommendations from former Prime Minister Tony Blair before deciding whether asking Congress for more."
A Marathon of Israel Compromises Begins
On July 1, Israel transferred $119 million in Palestinian tax revenues to the office of the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, as part of a plan to bolster him. And again on July 20, as another good will gesture to show their support of the Blair/Bush initiative to aid the splinter government (from Hamas in Gaza) of Mahmoud Abbas, Israel freed 250 Palestinian Prisoners. And Cp. Gilad Shalit the Israeli soldier captured a year ago by terrorists as well the two Israeli soldiers abducted into Lebanon are still prisoners.
And Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad had the audacity to say, "Israel needs to do more to improve the atmosphere. Your policy is a policy of small change. You do a little here, a little there," he told the Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot." And who is this Mahmoud Abbas that the Blair/Bush team is an advocate for? My friend, Jerry Golden from Israel, in his report says it well.
"(The) so-called moderate terrorist 'Abu Mazen' (Mahmoud Abbas) graduated from Moscow University by writing his dissertation for his PhD on Holocaust Denial. Since 1993 he was the brains behind the PLO and Hamas terrorism. He has said on numerous occasions that the goals of Fatah and Hamas are the same, they simply have different ways of destroying Israel, his is by phases and Hamas is by terrorism.
"Abu Mazen was Arafat's right hand man, and was directly responsible for handling the finances for the 1972 Munich massacre where 11 Israelis were murdered by his PLO. Yet we now have an Israeli Prime Minister willing to forget even that. His Fatah Organization, the head of terrorist organizations like Aksa Martyrs Brigades and others, has killed more Israelis than Hamas. All the incitement in the PA schools that teach all the 'Palestinian' children to prepare to be suicide bombers is approved and designed by him." (The Golden Report, "Bush Did It Again." 7/17/07)
The 9th of Av
On Monday, July 23rd (Erev, the eve of, the 9th of Av according to the Hebrew Calendar which is the date when both the 1st and 2nd Temples were destroyed in antiquity) "former British Prime Minister Tony Blair kicked off his first visit to the Middle East as the international community's new envoy to the region hoping to add new momentum to fledgling peace efforts between Israel and the Palestinians." (AP 7/23/07)
And on the very day that Blair arrived in Israel, "Emergency workers rescued hundreds of trapped people Monday as water swallowed swaths of central England in the worst flooding to hit the country for 60 years... some rivers were still rising, with the western section of the rain-swollen River Thames on the verge of bursting its banks. Roads and parking lots were submerged, trains suspended, buses cancelled. Hundreds of thousands of people were without electricity or drinking water, and farmers saw their summer crops destroyed. Torrential rains have plagued Britain over the past month - nearly 5 inches fell in some areas on Friday alone - and more downpours were predicted this week." (AP 7/23/07)
Arab League Delegation Visits Israel
Just after Blair's visit, on Wednesday, July 25th, "The foreign ministers of Egypt and Jordan, began a historic visit to Israel on Wednesday to formally present an Arab peace plan.. (Does this not seem like a well-orchestrated conspiracy against Israel?!) The ministers arrived as representatives of the Arab league, the first time the 22-member group has sent a delegation to the Jewish State... The visit, which came a day after former British Prime Minister Tony Blair made his first trip as new Mideast peace envoy, is part of a flurry of diplomatic efforts meant to restart peace talks after a seven-year lull... The Arab League asked Jordan and Egypt to take the lead in pushing forward their newly revived peace plan, which offers a comprehensive peace agreement in exchange for Israel's withdrawal from all territories captured in 1967." (AP 7/25/07)
What a joke! An Arab League "delegation?" The Arabs give nothing but talk and demand Israel's action! The truth is, representatives from Jordan and Egypt have visited Israel many times before and have both entered into their own peace accords with Israel. If the Arab League (all of whose members have spewed out hatred against Israel) were really interested in making a reconciliation and asking so much in return, they would have gotten off of their high horses and made a reasonable gesture by coming hat in hand as a group instead of sending the same old cronies to make peace for them. And still, these are the "many" that Daniel spoke of. Israel with her same old "victim mentality" is grateful for the crumbs and grasps at straws again to have a friend or two!
Blair/Bush-enanigans
I'm talking about a well orchestrated conspiracy here. It is well known that Tony Blair and George Bush are good friends who were virtually umbilical-corded together in the war in Iraq. At the same time on another front, in a fancy dance step, Blair was leading and Bush was following. Neither were paying attention to the God of the Hebrew's promise to bless those who bless Israel and to curse him who curses her. (Genesis 12:3) What were they thinking when they began to "stack the deck" in a conspiracy against the sons of Jacob, siding with the sons of Esau whom God had declared He hated? (Mal. 1: 2-3; Rom. 9:13)
Flying on the heels of Blair's success as a peacemaker in Northern Ireland (which did not require Northern Ireland to give away their land) these two leaders cottoned to the covetousness of the sons of Esau and conspired to do to the sons of Jacob what even Pharaoh would not have dared to do: they conspired to forge a worldwide Middle East "peace" movement which would give the sons of Esau one of the last remaining slices of Israel's Land.
What they didn't know was that their feet were tangled in an alluring web of enchantment which in reality was a subtly disguised anti-Semitic plot of Satan to gain control over God. (Isa. 14:13) Blair and Bush were working out Satan's agenda forbidding any further Jewish settlements and advocating the removal of the Jewish people from their own heartlands that God had given them. And Israel themselves, like passengers on the Titanic, saw nothing of the dangerous underbelly of that lethal iceberg laying directly in front of them upon which they would be sent to their freezing deaths below (were it not for the unbreakable promises of their God to them).
The Bottom Line!
Point of Impact! The Blair/Bush stealth attack has lifted Tony Blair into the position of Rome's front man to confirm Daniel's covenant and thereby gain control for the Vatican, the Muslims, "the many," and Satan by internationalizing Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, and wrenching control of Jacob's Land away from her rightful owners.
This is what God instructed me to say to America, Russia, the European Union, the UN, the Vatican, the Palestinians and the Arab League, the leaders of Israel and to those nations and persons who invest their time, energy and wealth in such an anti-God scheme as to divide the Land that the Rock of Ages gave once and for all to His people Israel:

The Writing On The Wall
A Cartoon Controversy
It all began with a huge controversy that was going on throughout the Muslim world for the last several months. The Jyllands-Posten newspaper in Denmark had published cartoons on September 30, 2005 that Muslims called offensive.
One cartoon showed Mohammed wearing a headdress in the shape of a bomb, and another showed an imam in Paradise telling the suicide bombers to stop because they are running out of virgins.
Muslims around the world were outraged! They demanded apologies and retractions and even called for revenge and executions of the Danish artists, insisting that no one be allowed to publish a cartoon or statement that makes fun of Mohammed or Islam, saying it is an offense to freedom of religion. (Look at this, the devil is indignant!)
These are the same Muslims who have a history of proliferating their scathing anti-Semitic cartoons depicting Jews as "Pigs," or as sleazy characters with hooked noses, who urinate on Jewish gravestones, vomit out their lies denying the Holocaust, and plaster swastikas everywhere.
Such as these demonstrated in the streets from Pakistan to Indonesia, Nigeria to Libya and Iraq, Saudi Arabia to Kuwait, to Syria, to Turkey and Iran and, and... Even the Palestinians went wild, rampaging through the streets and attacking the EU offices.
The Danish Prime Minister defended the newspaper's right of free speech to publish the cartoons. Newspapers in at least 50 other countries, including Norway, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary and Spain have also published the cartoons to show solidarity with the Danish paper and to emphasize their right of free speech. The United States stood in solidarity with Denmark supporting freedom of the press.
The Pakistani parliament passed a resolution condemning the cartoons. Saudi Arabia and Iran withdrew their ambassadors from Denmark. The Danish paper received continual bomb threats. Palestinians searched homes looking for Danes and other western Europeans to kidnap. Western reporters and aid workers fled the Palestinian territories for fear of their lives. Angry mobs in Damascus and Beirut torched the Danish Embassies in violent protests. An enraged mob of 50,000 in Sudan called for Al Qaeda terrorists to attack Denmark.
Muslims boycotted Danish products, throwing them off the shelves. The Danish food company, Arla, lost over $1 million a day in the Middle East. Protestors carried signs telling their governments to Not Sell Oil To Denmark. Iran reviewed its trade ties with countries that printed the cartoons, and severed trade with Denmark.
The Egyptian ambassador met with Prime Minister Rasmussen of Denmark and told him he should do more to "appease the whole Muslim world." We must never forget what happened when cowardly nations appeased Hitler's outrageous demands and agenda.
We love the Danes and so does God! When Hitler invaded Denmark and required all the Jews to wear the yellow Star of David armband, the King of Denmark also wore a yellow Star of David prominently displayed on his arm to show solidarity with the Jewish people.
God's Burgeoning Vendetta Against Islam!
Leaders of the Iranian-funded terrorist group, Hamas, met Monday, February 6th, in Cairo for talks with the Egyptians on a new Palestinian government.
While we do not rejoice by any means over the deaths of more than 1,000 passengers on an Egyptian ferry that departed from Saudi Arabia, caught fire and capsized in the Red Sea on 2/3/06, we do think it important, however, to note for the record the Scripture from the Torah Portion (Exodus 13:17-17:16) that was read in synagogues around the world on Saturday, 2/11/06, 7 days after that disaster:
This Scripture reminds us of a judgment from God that occurred about 3,500 years earlier when another Jew-hater, the Egyptian Pharaoh, tried to chase his former Jewish slaves into the Red Sea.
Should not the western world demand that the Muslims stop all the horrible things they do, like suicide bombers, and ax-murderers who chop off the heads of innocent people and who hold the whole world hostage to their oil?
Muslims are practicing economic terrorism as well as threatening the entire western civilized world. The giant cartoon brouhaha is not just about free speech versus religious discrimination. It's about Islam threatening and bullying the non-Muslim nations of the world to submit to their will, or else!
The word, Islam, actually means "submission" and "Allahu Akbar" does not mean, "God is great," it means, "Allah is greater." They are proclaiming that their demon-god is greater than the God of Israel. What lies!
Allah is the demon-god of the Pale Horseman of Revelation. This Gazette, therefore, focuses on God's burgeoning vendetta against Islam and above all, against the god of Islam, Satan, and his myriad principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness of this world!
The Death of Ilam Halimi, a French Jewish-Man
The horrifying torture and stabbing death of Ilam Halimi, a French-Jewish man on February 13, 2006 at the hands of a French-born Muslim has stunned France, which has Europe's largest Muslim and Jewish populations. The police think at least 20 people participated in his abduction and demands for ransom. His captors told his family that if they did not have the money, they should "go and get it from your synagogue," and later contacted a rabbi, telling him, "We have a Jew."
The killers who kidnapped and killed Mr. Halimi called themselves the Barbarians, and included people of different backgrounds: blacks from sub-Saharan Africa and the Caribbean, Arabs from North Africa, at least one Persian from Iran, and whites from Portugal and France. The gang's leader, Youssouf Fofana, 25, was one of five children born in Paris to Muslim immigrants from Ivory Coast. "The emerging details raise deep fears of virulent anti-Semitism within the hardening underclass." (New York Times, 3/5/06)
Iranian Paper Seeks Holocaust Cartoons
An Iranian newspaper said on February 7, 2006 it would hold a competition for cartoons on the Holocaust to test whether the West extends the principle of freedom of expression to the Nazi genocide as it did to that caricature of Mohammad.
The contest is co-sponsored by the House of Caricatures, a Tehran exhibition center for cartoons. The paper and the cartoon center are owned by the Tehran Municipality, which is dominated by the allies of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, well known for his opposition to Israel.
"Ahmadinejad, who was Tehran's mayor until being elected president in June, provoked outcries last year when he said on separate occasions that Israel should be 'wiped off the map,' and 'the Holocaust was a myth.' Iran said last month it would sponsor a conference to examine the scientific evidence supporting the Holocaust, an apparent attempt to give voice to Holocaust deniers." (Associated Press, 2/7/06)
Just like Pharaoh, Iran is taking a dangerous stand against the God of Jacob by mocking the horrific genocide of 6,000,000 of His children by the Nazis. No wonder God says, "Jacob have I loved; But Esau (patriarch, along with Ishmael, of the present day Muslims) I have hated." (Mal. 1:2-3)
Here is what God said about Ishmael to his Egyptian mother, Hagar:
Now, consider also Esau's marriage to Mahalath, the daughter of Ishmael, (Gen. 28:6-9) and Isaac's prophecy concerning Esau, "By your sword you shall live." (Gen. 27:40)
Thus, the sword-bearing, wild ass of a man whose hand is against every man and every man's hand against him is the one described Scripturally in the end-times as "beasts of the earth" who are disciples of the Rider on the Pale Horse. (Rev. 6:8)
This then is the lineage of those Muslims who are terrorizing the earth today who call their demon-god, Allah. And when the Muslims, enraged over the cartoons of Mohammed, went on an explosive world-wide rampage and turned that rage against His chosen people chanting, "Death to Israel," blaming them for the cartoons that they had absolutely nothing to do with, the God of Jacob could stand still for it no more.
The Writing On The Wall
And so it was on February 24, 2006 that I heard Him say, "Writing on the wall." This recalled to my mind the handwriting which mysteriously appeared on the walls of King Belshazzar's palace in Babylon (present day Iraq) in 538 B.C.
This time, violence unleashed by the bombing of the Golden Dome mosque of the Shiite Askariya shrine in Samarra, a predominantly Sunni city, would result in "his hand shall be against every man and every man's hand against him." (Gen.16:12) Interestingly, the destruction of the Golden Dome happened in Bablyon, the same place where Belshazzar had received similar judgment at the hand of an angry God 2,500 years earlier.
"Belshazzar the king made a great feast for a thousand of his lords, and drank wine in the presence of the thousand. While he tasted the wine, Belshazzar gave the command to bring the gold and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the Temple which had been in Jerusalem, that the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them... They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze and iron, wood and stone. In the same hour, the fingers of a man's hand appeared and wrote opposite the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king's palace; and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote. Then the king's countenance changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his hips were loosened and his knees knocked against each other."
When Belshazzar's wise men and astrologers were not able to interpret the writing, they called for the Hebrew prophet, Daniel, who told Belshazzar,
"O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father a kingdom and majesty, glory and honor... But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him. Then he was driven from the sons of men, his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses. But you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this. And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified. Then the fingers of the hand were sent from Him, and this is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the interpretation of each word. Mene: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; Tekel: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; Peres: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians. That very night Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, was slain. And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old." (Daniel 5:1-6, 8, 19-26, 28-31)
When the Golden Dome mosque of the Shiite Askariya shrine was exploded, those who had proclaimed Allah (the name of a demon) to be god were divided; hundreds were left dead. A near civil war exploded in Iraq (ancient Babylon) between the Shiite (fundamentally an Iranian-based sect) and the Sunnis and "divided" their Islamic kingdom.
And now that the Lord God of Israel has begun to divide Islam, how will He judge Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of Iran (Persia), a vile Holocaust-denier who inspired this competition for cartoons on the Holocaust?
And Russia who invited a Hamas delegation (responsible for dozens of suicide bombings in Israel and is sworn to the destruction of the Jewish nation) for meetings in Moscow the first week of March?
And Turkey who met with the Foreign Minister of Hamas in Ankara on February 17th? And America, and whoever else mocks the God of Jacob by favoring these sons of Esau/Ishmael-Islamic murderers and their demonic foreign god!
President Bush needs to stop his naive policies, like the $75 million fund to bring democracy to Iran and the fiasco surrounding his fighting for approval of the United Arab Emirate's purchase of a British company which would give the UAE control of six American ports. The UAE is a Muslim-Arab nation which endorses and participates in the Arab boycott of goods manufactured in Israel! A potential consequence of the ports deal could be the boycott of Israeli goods from American ports by an approved Arab shipping controller.
Time grows short and the patience of the God of Jacob wears thin. Continuing to ignore His Word and His warnings contained therein about His great love for Israel and His hatred for Esau (Mal. 1:2-3) will bring alarming consequences! Katrina will pale in comparison!
Palestinian Election Backfires!
The radical Islamic terrorist party, Hamas, won an overwhelming victory in the Palestinian elections, taking 76 out of 132 seats, deposing the former ruling party, Fatah, which won only 43. President Bush's response to the shocking outcome of these American-fomented democratic elections was less one of confrontation than of inviting Hamas to change its ways while the world watches.
"There was a peaceful process as people went to the polls, and that's positive," Mr. Bush said. "But what's also positive is that it's a wake-up call to the leadership. Obviously people were not happy with the status quo." He added that Hamas could not be "a partner in peace" if it continued to advocate the destruction of Israel or harbored "an armed wing."
But his tone suggested that the United States would have an open mind as the Palestinians form their government and take actions."
Leaders across the world demanded that Hamas renounce violence and recognize Israel. President Bush said in Washington, "If your platform is the destruction of Israel, it means you're not a partner in peace, and we're interested in peace." (NY Times, 1/26/06)
The will of the Palestinian Arabs was to elect terrorists who promise to destroy Israel, and who want to create a militant Islamic state, a government that is antithetical, or altogether in opposition to the hopes of a true democracy.
America, Israel's biggest supporter and trade partner, had encouraged the recent Gaza evacuation, dividing the Land in favor of the Palestinians, which made America a sure candidate for destruction at the hand of God. (Joel 3:2) Exactly 7 days after the Gaza evacuation, God obliged them by sending Hurricane Katrina which devastated New Orleans and the Gulf Coast causing the largest American evacuation in history, and later by giving the Hamas terrorists a victory in the "democratic" Palestinian elections, thereby throwing egg all over the face of America.
The American-instigated Gaza evacuation had clearly strengthened Hamas' position in that they could claim amongst the voting population that it was their terrorist campaign which had weakened and driven the Jews out of Gaza, itself a seething cauldron of Hamas activity and influence.
America's plan for democracy in the Middle East has backfired! Not only that, but America had earlier paid Fatah about $1.25 million dollars to help them with the costs of the election and had insisted that Hamas (the Iranian-funded terrorist organization) be allowed to participate in these democratic elections.
This is Democracy in the Middle East!
"The Hamas controlled Palestinian parliament Monday cancelled all decisions made during the last session of the outgoing legislature, including legislation giving additional powers to Mahmoud Abbas. The vote signaled that Hamas legislators will take a confrontational approach in dealing with the rival Fatah Party, which was defeated in January's elections... During the voting, a dozen Fatah gunmen walked near the parliament building in Gaza City, firing into the air. The gunmen eventually headed to a nearby meeting of Fatah leaders, demanding that their party not join a Hamas government, with one masked gunman saying any Fatah politician joining would be killed." (AP, 3/6/06)
Congratulations, President Bush, this is democracy in the Middle East! This happened while your statement that Hamas's victory was a triumph of democracy and a rebuke to the old guard was still ringing in our ears.
The Millennial Temple
The thought has crossed my mind that the sectarian strife between the Shiite and Sunni Muslims that began with the bombing of the Shiite Askariya mosque in Iraq could multiply like rabbits into surrounding nations just like the rampaging did over the cartoon controversy. One such sectarian incident was just reported in India.
Whether that flood of ungodliness (Dan. 9:26; Ps. 18:4) could in-and-of-itself germinate enough internecine strife to generate a similar destruction on the Temple Mount mosques only the God of Jacob knows. But we know that the Millennial Temple (Ezek.43:10-11) must be built and I always assumed that it might be side-by-side with the two mosques that are presently there.
Just how far God intends to push His current "Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin" agenda, only He knows!

The Cycle of Seventy
Seven and its multiples are God's perfect numbers. He created the world and on the 7th day He rested. In the seventh year, the slaves go free (Exodus 21:2). The Jewish people were in captivity in Babylon for 70 years. At the end of the 7 seals, 7 trumpets and 7 bowls, God's plan of perfecting the world will be completed. The Lord commands us to forgive our brothers 70 times 7, and He commands the thief to restore sevenfold. (Proverbs 6:31)
Daniel's 70 Weeks
In response to Daniel's prayer for God to forgive Israel's sin, and to restore Jerusalem and their holy Temple, the Archangel Gabriel answered as follows:
In this instance, one week equals seven years. Thus it would take 490 years in total (70 times 7) until the great day when the Messiah is anointed as King of Kings in His Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
The weeks ran consecutively starting in 445BC when the command went forth to rebuild the city and the wall of Jerusalem. (Vv.25) But at the 69th week, Messiah was cut off (Vv.26), the Church Age began, and the time clock stopped running for the last 2,000 years.
Now the time is coming to rebuild the Throne of David, to restore the kingdom to Israel, at the 70th week of Daniel.
This final 7 year period which constitutes the 70th week of Daniel will begin when the false peace between Israel and the Arabs is consummated and confirmed by the False Prophet. It has not begun yet. But it is ushered in through persecution of the Jewish people and will lead to their salvation and to the cleansing of that part of the true Church which is part of the Commonwealth of Israel.
As for the anti-Semitic mainline churches, they need to repent and be saved during this period or inherit eternal damnation.
Many people are fearful and wonder about the increase in deadly hurricanes, earthquakes and diseases.
Now is not the time of final judgment, but a time of great difficulties which Yeshua said are "the beginning of sorrows" when men will panic at the events coming on the earth.
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, earthquakes and fires, tsunamis, mud slides and resurgent diseases that pummel our world are such signs and warnings that mankind should repent of their evil ways, and that people and nations who bring a curse against the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will be cursed. (Gen. 12:3).
But they are not the final judgments. Bad though they may be, remember that "tribulation worketh patience." (Romans 5:3)
Forgiveness: 70 Times 7
Peter asked Yeshua, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" Yeshua said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven (490)." (Matthew 18:21-22)
We must forgive our brothers up to "70 times 7." And God must forgive the nations who persecute His people, Israel, until the 70th week commences.
The persecution of Israel and the Church will not cease, and full and final judgment to the persecutors cannot be dealt out by Messiah (who will judge the evildoers upon His return at the end of the Age) until the 70th week, and throughout the 7 seals, 7 trumpets and 7 bowls.
An example of this 70 week scenario is seen in the captivity of Judah and Benjamin in Babylon. God would not fully and finally judge Babylon until 70 years had passed.
"And this whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon 70 years. Then it will come to pass, when 70 years are completed, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity, says the Lord; and I will make it a perpetual desolation." (Jer. 25:11-12)
My 70th Birthday, October 16, 2005!
Now I am turning 70 years old, and I hope my captivity is ending and I will be set free to complete my life's work for the Lord.
In my heart I have forgiven and continue to forgive all who have hurt me as the Lord requires. But I feel it is time to share certain things about my life, and about the wrongful things which were done to me by men in ministry who have caused untold problems over the last 28 years of my life in ministry.
Am I not also to be vindicated by the Lord in my 70th year and to enter into the Lord's rest?
Before I go to the grave, having been silent all these years, I must set the record straight, that my name will finally be freed from the stigma that they have brought to it. Even my very testimony has been condemned by some. So, it will be a catharsis for me to tell my story.
Born on Tabernacles just like Yeshua was!
On Wednesday, 19 Tishri 5696, the fifth day of the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) , according to the Jewish calendar, (October 16, 1935 according to the Gentile calendar), my Mother gave birth to me in Grace Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. Although my parents had taken every knowable precaution against conception, I was conceived. God must have had a hand in it unbeknownst to my parents.
Face to Face with the Father
In 1972 at the age of 37, while a practicing attorney (having graduated 4th in my class from New York Law School), during prayer I was lifted in the Spirit into heaven and found myself seated on the lap of the Father.
He said to me, "You will build for Me a new house of worship!" How had I, a mere mortal man, seen the Father?
The Son had willed to reveal the Father to me. He brought me to heaven in vision many times and allowed me to see things that most only read about in the Bible.
A Vision of Man Standing on a Rock
While living in New Canaan, CT, where I had my own private law practice in 1975, I had a vision of a man with a great white beard and sandals standing on a rock, staff in hand, staring at me. He had a face of steel, but eyes so gentle.
I told my friend, Natasha Audrain, an old Pentacostal Christian, who lived near me about the vision; I explained that I wondered who this man was. While sitting in church, Natasha received a message from the Lord to tell me that I had seen Moses.
A Second Vision of Moses
I founded a congregation, Makom Yonah (Hebrew for "The Place of the Dove"), that met in an Episcopal Church in New Canaan.
As I worshiped there on one beautiful Shabbat, I had a vision of the spirit of Moses wearing a great black and white prayer shawl coming down through the roof, settling on top of me, and it felt as though his spirit and mantle were merging with me; I wept and wept.
From that moment on, my life changed. I experienced the most profound fatherly love for Israel. The music I was composing changed and became profoundly beautiful and heavenly. My skills as a writer seemed to increase exponentially. I attained a new-found maturity in my heart that I had never experienced before.
But I also became an outcast in New Canaan: Makom Yonah failed; my wife and children left me calling me a "Jewish Jesus freak!" and finally, the Lord told me in 1976 to close down my law practice and become for him "a divine lawyer," representing His kingdom. I closed my doors and never turned back... for almost 30 years now.
A Visitation from An Angel
After a year of intense study of the Scriptures from cover to cover, I received a visitation in the middle of the night in my apartment in New Canaan from an angel who said that the Lord was well pleased with me and was bringing me into ministry.
A few weeks later, I met and joined up with Calvin Marsh, a wonderful former Metropolitan Opera star, who felt called to sing my Messianic songs. He was a missionary on the staff of The American Board of Missions to the Jews and he got me a job with them so that I made a small salary for the first time in a year.
After about six months of ministering in small churches with Calvin, he was invited by Logos Publishing Company in 1977 to minister at their Annual World Conference on the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem, and he insisted that they needed to have me also. Amazingly, the Lord provided a way and there I was in Jerusalem, Calvin and I ministering with my music.
A Fateful Meeting
At the Conference, I met Mike Evans, one of the main speakers, and one of the most anointed ministers of the Gospel I had ever seen. He said my music was highly original and uniquely different from all the Messianic music, and invited me to stay at his ministry, B'nai Yeshua, in Stony Brook, NY, to write songs for his Messianic performing group, The Psalms of David.
Several months later, I took him up on his offer, packed up my apartment in New Canaan and went out to live on their campus; but all the time I continued to minister with Calvin for the ABMJ in the U.S. and Canada which was how I made my living.
Mike Evans moved me into my own private house on the ministry grounds as he had promised, to live and work in the kind of privacy that a writer needs while I wrote songs for the recording, but it wasn't long before he began to move other men into the house, breaking his promise to me.
I should have known to leave at that time, but didn't. I stayed and wrote for about 6 months, never really being incorporated into his ministry.
It was there that I had the honor of meeting Peter Eliastam (his name means "stem of Elijah"), a great artist from South Africa with whom I became very close.
Shortly after I arrived at the ministry, I had a vision of Mike Evans falling into a pit; of demons crawling out of holes in the pit which were tying him down with ropes. In the vision, I tried to pull him out but could not.
I finished my writing and the album was recorded with 5 of my songs included. Then I had another dream of his ministry collapsing, and the Lord instructed me to leave. I had learned a great deal there about the workings of the Holy Spirit for which I am grateful.
Mike Evans called me into his office and told me that all of the elders of his ministry were in agreement that I was prideful (because of my musical gift) and needed to join his ministry and come under his personal supervision to have my pride killed.
He told me to give up my music ministry with the ABMJ, and said that he and his elders (whom he controlled like puppets) had decided that it was God's will for me to mow lawns and to be a grounds keeper on the substantial B'nai Yeshua lawns where I was still residing.
At about that time, Mike had a vision of a Jewish man who was cast out from the Messianic Jewish community; and that when the man was old, the Messianic community embraced him.
I told Mike he was wrong to try to place me in captivity; that he had no Scriptural authority to do that; that God had instructed me in a dream to leave; and that I was the old Jewish man in his vision who would be ostracized and finally embraced again.
He was very angry that I would not capitulate to his demands, and upset when I told him I was the old Jewish man in the vision; he thought that he was that old man.
But as God had instructed me, I fled that night under cover of darkness because it was obvious to me that Mike and his elders were about to make their move to block my leaving.
I loaded my car late that night with whatever I could easily carry, left all of my furniture behind for my many young friends there that I loved, and virtually ran for my life. God had warned me and I obeyed!
Mike Evans retained temporary control of my catalogue of music copyrights because due to my loving and trusting nature I had stupidly turned them over to him to administer, but eventually he returned them to me.
"Go Back to B'nai Yeshua for 7 Days"
A year later, after a week of fasting, the Lord spoke to me and told me to go back to B'nai Yeshua for 7 days to deliver the message to Mike Evans that if he didn't stop taking advantage of the people in his ministry, it would be taken away from him and given to another.
I cried out to the Lord that I dared not go. I escaped once before and what assurance did I have that I would not be trapped there now? But the Lord insisted and warned me to be obedient and so I returned.
In the interim, however, I received a letter from Peter Eliastam. He was an astounding artist who had done hundreds of the most unusual and priceless collages exquisitely portraying the Scriptures; a true genius.
In that letter, he told me that after I left B'nai Yeshua the year before, Mike Evans invited him to move to the ministry, that he went home to gather his wife and family and to ship his collection of works of art across the ocean to B'nai Yeshua in preparation for the move. But after shipping them, he received a telegram from Mike Evans telling him that the Lord had told him that he was not to come after all.
Thus, Peter was separated from his priceless collection without any remuneration. What a gross injustice! To my knowledge, most of Peter's works of art were never returned to him nor was he paid for them.
This served as a double confirmation to me as to why God was sending me to B'nai Yeshua. This was one of those grievances that the Lord was sending me to address with Mike Evans.
When I arrived at B'nai Yeshua, I was told that Mike was away on a skiing trip and would not return until six more days.
Mike returned on the 7th day and refused to see or talk to me even though I said I was sent by the Lord. His ministry manager told me to write a letter with whatever comments I thought the Lord wanted me to deliver.
I wrote that his behavior was distressing the Lord, that he was blaming the devil for many bad things that had been happening to him when in reality it was a warning from the Lord, and unless he repented, the ministry would be taken from him and given to another.
The reply came back to me that many others had told him the same things; that they were wrong and so was I, and I should leave the grounds and never set foot on them again. Shortly thereafter, the ministry property was sold to another owner. Many of Peter's works of art, however, were left on the walls of the main ministry house and were never returned to him.
Smear Campaign
But it was from that day on that a smear campaign against me began, when in reality it should have been the other way around. Mike Evans and some of his elders, some of whom became Messianic rabbis and rose to high places in Messianic circles, flamboyantly and lyingly discredited me and subjected me to disgrace wherever my name came up. For what? For obeying the Lord and giving Mike the message to repent? For not abandoning my ministry to become a slave and a gardener for him?
Doors of ministry began to close to me. Their false reports were like armed robbers stealing my Levitical share of ministry.
I have forgiven them all, and have not publically related this information or defended myself. But the consequences flowing from their false reports and lies remain until this day because I dared to do the right thing.
A Second Smear Campaign
Then there was Sammy Oppenheim, whom I loved like a brother, and I can only assume that like Joseph's brothers, this man envied me, because he abruptly turned on me like Joseph's brothers turned on him. (Genesis 37:11)
When I met Sammy in El Paso, TX, he was the rabbi of Messianic Congregation Ben David, and an officer of the then-fledgling Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations (UMJC), founded by Dan Juster.
Sammy introduced me to the UMJC when he brought me to a conference. While there, Dan Juster heard some of my songs, and asked me to write music to parts of the liturgy for their high holiday prayer book, which I did.
I was sleeping on Sammy's couch as I had no other home and was itinerating as a minister; my former wife and children had abandoned me a few years earlier because of my faith in Yeshua.
A Simple Question
I had discussed with Sammy my visions of Moses and had asked him if he thought it was possible that I had inherited the mantle of Moses when in a vision the spirit of Moses came down through the roof and seemed to overshadow me while worshiping at Makom Yonah in New Canaan, CT.
"Do you think," I asked him , "I could be one of the two witnesses of the Book of Revelation?" All of a sudden he turned mean-spirited - like Satan entered into him. He set up an inquisition before two local pastors, misapplying the following Scripture:
I had not sinned against Sammy by asking him that question! The pastors said, "We find no guile in this man." What a mockery of justice; and I a lawyer!
Then he threatened to bring the matter before his congregation, where they were singing my songs in their services, if I didn't give up my ministry and submit to him and sit at his feet for 3 months without participating in any way in ministry.
The Lord showed me in vision to dust off my shoes and immediately get on my way to California where I was to start up my production of "Rabboni," which ultimately became one of the best known Messianic musicals to the Jewish people anywhere, and Sammy tried to block me.
My phone rang off the hook all that night (I had moved to a rented furnished suite) as if Sammy knew supernaturally that I was planning to leave for California the next morning.
Depression and Despair
When Sammy found out that I was gone, he initiated a vendetta against me.
He wrote a scandalously filthy, lying 12 page letter in which he falsely accused me of many things and said that I believed I was Elijah; an outright lie. (I wondered about the mantle of Moses based upon my stated experience, but certainly never claimed to be Elijah.)
But how had I sinned against a brother by asking him a simple question?
Sammy sent the letter to hundreds of people around the country, to the entire Messianic movement. One of my dear friends in Lubbock, Texas with whom I roomed for about a year, received the letter and told me of its contents; I wept, but I never read it and never defended myself. It followed me throughout my years of ministry.
I was ostracized by the leadership of the Messianic movement as Sammy had promised. Dan Juster and his UMJC refused to receive and use the beautiful musical liturgy that I had written for them at their request.
No one ever asked me if Sammy's accusations were true. They believed his lies and spread them. His smear campaign caused depression and despair for many years.
Jews For Jesus received the accusation against me and unjustly condemned me. Many years later, Moishe Rosen asked my forgiveness. I certainly forgave him but asked him how could the damage be undone.
Sammy even had his congregation pray curses over me, turning me over to the devil for the destruction of my flesh, actually praying that I would die. I found that out years later when Michael Washer visited Florida and wept as he begged me for forgiveness for what he had done to me while a member of Sammy's congregation.
After many years, the Lord made me visit Sammy when I was ministering in Texas. Wendy and I had lunch with him. I told him I forgave him. He said he would write to the Messianic movement to tell them that the situation had corrected itself, whatever that meant. But to my knowledge, he hasn't done so.
Blacklisted for 28 Years
I hope you have never had to face or overcome such obstacles as these but you can certainly understand my pain at having to endure them for the last 28 years.
I have never gone to an MJAA or UMJC conference; they never invited me to speak even when "Rabboni" was running prominently off-Broadway, or when I had a well-known radio show on the largest Christian station in New York City. I did not feel welcome.
Many of them came to see my musical in New York City, but did not so much as say hello to me.
Sammy attacked my ministry all over the country. His slander reached to Jack Hayford of Church on the Way in CA whom I had met and had breakfast with; we wanted to perform our musical there, but Sammy effectively blocked it; he had been an associate pastor there years back.
In spite of the attacks against me, I trusted and obeyed the Lord with forgiveness in my heart, and He prospered the works of my hands.
Another Pack of Lies
In 1985, our musical, "Rabboni," was running off-Broadway for about three months when we decided to move up to Broadway. One of our musicians had been quite troublesome and I had decided not to bring her up with us.
She called her union and although they had no jurisdiction over our show, a union rep threatened me with a strike if within one week I did not change my mind regarding that one musician.
In the midst of this battle, Keith Ripka, a talented Christian bandleader who had shared the platform with Calvin and myself at a B'nai Yeshua Shekinah Conference many years earlier dropped in to see our production. I told him about my musicians' union problem and he said he could help because he had a band that could jump right in if our band struck us.
He asked for 5 tickets to bring his musicians to see the show right away so they could observe the routines on stage. I was delighted to give him the tickets and get his help in this emergency.
When that performance came around, I saw Keith in line with his wife and children; no musicians. When I questioned him about why he had brought his family and not the musicians, he made light of it by telling me I had misunderstood him - a bold-faced lie.
The strike was avoided, so we didn't need Keith's band. When it was time to produce on Broadway, I forgave Keith's earlier lie, thinking that it was a one-time indiscretion; after all, he was a brother in the Lord.
I was considering hiring him, but our Broadway general management firm objected. Their position was that he lacked the necessary credentials. That was true, but I wanted to give a brother in the Lord a second chance.
He did the vocal arrangements and was paid $3,000. The going rate for vocal arranging was $2,500 at the time. But I later discovered that Keith was dishonest and billed me for things that he did not do and double billed me in some instances for things he did do.
I also discovered that in some of the promotional materials he had given me as samples of his work, he listed himself as the musical arranger (which is what I was considering hiring him for) when he had only been copyist; a very different skill.
He dishonestly forged my own Father's signature on a fraudulent union contract that falsely claimed I had hired him as arranger (my Father was one of the best copyists in New York City) which could have caused my Dad to lose his considerable pension.
When our production sadly had to be suspended before opening due to the failure of an investor to bring in the promised finances, Keith threatened to sue us claiming that we owed him 30 or 40 thousand dollars. Outrageous!
He spread lies across the country about me, saying I never paid him, that I owed him vast amounts of money (for work that he never did), saying that he wrote the music, not me, and so many more lies. He told pastors to have nothing to do with me, closing many doors of ministry, effectively robbing me as well as the Body of the Lord. He even copyrighted my music as his own, for which I could sue him, but haven't.
I am an accomplished composer and have written thousands of songs over the years, many of which have been recorded by major artists, Messianic and otherwise.
What amazes me is that people believed the lies! Not one person ever asked me if what he and all the others had said was true. They were quick to receive false accusations, believe the lies, and condemn me.
Looking back, it becomes clear that demonic powers operating through various people were assigned to try and stop the ministry God had called me to. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against wicked spirits. And some of the things done to me were so cruel, they could only be called demonic.
God is Faithful
No matter what slander came against me, no matter how hard they tried to destroy my work, the Lord was with me and enabled me to write and produce "Rabboni," for which I won a Bronze Halo Award from The Southern California Motion Picture Council for "Excellence in Family Entertainment," which has brought many people, Jew and Gentile, to the saving knowledge of Messiah.
The Lord opened many doors to me which no man could shut. I have ministered in music, in healing, and in the Word across this country, in Europe and the Middle East.
Through diligent study of the prophetic Scriptures, the Lord has given me expertise in end-time prophecy. I have written a widely-acclaimed book, along with a sequel, taught prophecy seminars which have blessed the Lord's people with revelation knowledge and understanding, and we have prophecy TV shows airing in Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA and the Philippines.
God has blessed me with amazing skill and anointing to compose music and write theatrical outreaches for Him. We have a trilogy of 3 full-length Messianic musicals that dramatize the entire plan of salvation from Genesis to Revelation in the most entertaining and warmly Jewish ways.
With the devastation from hurricanes and earthquakes, the fires in California, the surging gasoline prices, the threat of terrorism and deadly viruses, a new sense of urgency is emerging.
It is time to hear, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight." (Mark 1:3) Our musicals do just that.
We call our trilogy "The Mendel Cycle." It consists of "Mendel & Moses" (winner of a Best Choreography award in Los Angeles), "Mendel's Messiah" (formerly "Rabboni," winner of a Bronze Halo Award), and "The Time of Mendel's Trouble" (an end-time epic).
Now is the time to revive "Mendel & Moses" when calamities of Biblical proportions are hitting America, the modern-day Egypt.
The Muslim invasion of our Judeo-Christian ethic is well on its way. The Lord has given us the keys to counter their propaganda through the artistic freedom of musical theater, to impact the culture of our nation with the Light of God's Word.
These three musicals are the pinnacle of my life's work. Yet, if the Lord does not do something to bring forth the financing, they will never see the light of day. Without Him, we can do nothing. But with God, all things are possible!
Forgiveness
The Lord tells us to forgive our brothers 70 times 7. I have always practiced that advice.
Now that I am in my 70th year, I proclaim to all who ever slandered me and caused me hurt: I forgive you from the bottom of my heart with love, and I pray God's blessings be upon you! And for how ever I may have offended you, I apologize and ask your forgiveness.
I have unburdened myself at last after 28 years. May God release me from the shackles that have held me back. May He break every bondage so that I may fulfill His calling on my life. And may He do the same for you.
